From the founder

I did not begin with a plan to build a house.

I began with an instinct.

An instinct to notice form. The way a bag sits when placed down. The balance of its weight in the hand. The quiet frustration of carrying something that feels almost right, but never completely resolved. I carried that awareness for years before I ever acted on it.

Over time, I realised I wasn't searching for another handbag. I was searching for a different way of approaching one. I found myself returning to the same questions. Why do so many beautiful objects disappear after a season? Why should something designed to accompany us every day be treated as temporary? I became more interested in refinement than reinvention, in creating fewer things with greater purpose.

aimée moreau grew from those questions.

Every Forme begins with proportion. Before colour, before hardware, before detail, there is the silhouette itself. The way it stands. The way it moves. The way it feels when carried day after day. I believe good design rarely announces itself. It simply feels right, and continues to feel right years later.

Growing up in the Emirates shaped my appreciation for permanence. I have always admired objects that are cared for, repaired, and kept rather than replaced. That way of thinking continues to guide the house today. We do not design for seasons or moments of novelty. We design with the hope that what we create becomes part of someone's everyday life.

Rooted in the Emirates and crafted in Spain, aimée moreau brings together considered design and generations of leather craftsmanship. Every decision is made with intention, from the materials we choose to the pace at which we produce. Nothing exists simply to add more. Everything exists to make the piece better.

The house continues to grow in the same way it began: slowly, thoughtfully, and with the belief that the most meaningful objects are the ones that remain with us.
